A one-year international hospitality programme involving academic study in Thailand coupled with paid industrial training in Thailand and Japan.

Programme overview

A One-Year International Program in Hospitality Industry Management, offered by Pathumthani University International College (PTUIC), that incorporates academic studies in Thailand, industrial training in Thailand, and a paid internship in Japan. The program includes Japanese language and culture training and serves as a gateway to a career in the international hospitality industry. Curriculum / Modules

Phase 1 – Academic Study at PTU (6–8 months): Global Business Environment, Strategy: Choices and Change, Global Challenges for Business, Entrepreneurship Innovation and Leadership, Event and MICE Business Management, Hospitality Operations, Front Office Management, Room Operations Management, Kitchen and Food Operations, Flower Arrangements for Venue Decoration, Emerging Trends in the Hospitality Industry — plus Japanese Language & Culture (Japanese Language for Hospitality I & II, Japanese Workplace Communication, Japanese Culture and Business Etiquette). Phase 2 – Industrial Training in Thailand (4 months): hands-on internship with leading hospitality and tourism organisations. Phase 3 – Industrial Training with Paid Internship in Japan (1–5 years): paid placement with hotels, ryokan, restaurants, tourism and travel companies, and theme parks.

Practical industry training

Phase 2: 4-month industrial training in Thailand where you might be placed in luxury hotels & resorts, restaurants & cafés, convention & event venues, tourism attractions or cruise terminals. Phase 3: 1 to 5 years of paid industrial training in Japan, which may involve working in international hotels & resorts, ryokan (traditional Japanese inns), restaurants & fine dining, tourism & travel companies, or theme parks & attractions. Possible benefits in Japan: monthly allowance, professional experience in Japan, cultural experience and knowledge of Japanese service standards, certificate of training, and an opportunity to continue working in Japan.

Paid internship in Japan for 1–5 years, following academic study and training in Thailand.

Eligibility & requirements

High School Diploma / Equivalent; English proficiency (basic communication); good personality and service mindset; willingness to learn Japanese language; age 18 years and above.

English requirement: Basic communication level
