One-Year International Program in Hospitality from Thailand + Paid Internship in Japan up to 5 Years

What if 6–8 months of study can open the door to a hospitality career in one of the most well-respected hospitality industries in the world?

That's the idea of the One-Year International Program in Hospitality Industry Management at Pathumthani University (PTU) in Thailand. You study in Thailand, receive paid training in Thai hospitality businesses, and then get an opportunity for 1–5 years of paid industrial training in Japan.

For Indian students who want to make a career in the international hospitality sector but do not have the time or money to pursue a long and expensive degree, this is one of the best options available. Here is why.

  • Event and MICE Business Management

  • Japanese Language for Hospitality II
  • Japanese Workplace Communication
  • Japanese Culture and Business Etiquette

No prior knowledge of the Japanese language is necessary, as participants receive training in the Japanese language and the business etiquette relevant to the Japanese workplace.

  • Convention and event venues

Benefits of the Japan phase:

  • A paid monthly allowance

  • Exposure to Japanese culture and its famous standards of service
  • A Certificate of Training
  • A pathway towards a long-term career in Japan

Why This Program Stands Out

  • Short and focused: 6–8 months of academics instead of a 3–4 year degree.
  • Two countries of experience: hands-on training in both Thailand and Japan.
  • Japanese language built in: you learn the language as part of the course.
  • Earn while you learn: both the 4-month training in Thailand and the Japan phase are paid.
  • Industry-led teaching: international faculty, industry experts and guest lecturers, with modern facilities and hospitality labs.
  • Career support: career guidance and job placement assistance throughout.

Career Opportunities After the Program

Career roles after the program: front office executive, food and beverage supervisor, guest relations officer, hotel supervisor, tourism executive and restaurant manager

Graduates can work towards roles such as:

  • Hotel Supervisor
